At the moment I use the DIY route. The reason for this is that I am part qualified and self employed.
I value the benefits that an accountant can make to your business in saving tax and also planning for the future. We are in the process of setting up a new business which will be a Limited company, part of the planning has been to see an accountant to ensure that we get things right from the beginning and we will certainly use them for calculating business tax and producing the year end accounts for HMRC.

I wouldn't have a hope of doing my own! I always use an accountant for my year end.
The way i see it, i'm better off spending my time earning more money to pay someone else to do it rather than spending hours trying to work it out myself.
