Age as factor in a relationship

I would like to challenge you to a discussion that I think bothers many. What do you think is acceptable age difference between partners in a relationship to you?
I think that would be the ideal partner to be greater than your partner, maybe 4-5 years would be best, but I honestly do not generalize.

I saw a family who resisted marriage for years and years, and was higher than partner in 5 years. I met with years ago, a couple whose relationship of respect and love did to change my opinion about the relationship of a couple. He is greater than her 16 years.
Also, in my generation most couples are formed by partners of the same age (about the same age, maybe two year difference) .

I think ultimately depends very much respect, love, care even if you have no partner but plenty of reasons to enjoy life. If you fall to remember what loss has important difference in age, social differences, religion, sex, race, nationality? Accepting a partner / partner with all its differences, just as you love and you made the choice willingly and not forced (a) by anyone. Love is blind.

If the partners exceed the difference relationship may be even greater if interest. So I soul relationship it's better to not be much difference for the later two concerns are not the same while concern is to prepare a romantic dinner partner, the other concern is to take the cup prosthesis which does not give very good.
I think it's more dangerous, in turn, be much older woman though. I personally have never been in relationship with a woman older. We partner but a friend that is 40 years old and he 30. She is more mature and it shows in whatever they do ...

I think it's better to be older men, usually a woman needs a man mature but the question is what is the difference ideal. Goes a relationship with 10, 15 or even 20 years difference? Divergences over time are even though this is not evident initially?
Between me and my girlfriend are 5 years and we get along just fine, as well as between my parents. I think an age difference of 4-5 years is ideal. But surely age is not everything, there are important common interests, respect, love.
