For those of you running websites, how many of you are making the most of all of Google's free tools for webmasters?

If you are not already i would highly recommend doing so. At the very least its worth setting up a Google webmaster and Google Analytics account for your site so that you can track who is visiting you, who is linking to you, and what keywords Google associates with your website.

Personally I absolutely love Google Analytics.

Its a fantastic free give away on their part. The amount of data its gives you about your visitors and what they are doing on your site is amazing. I find it really suprising that quite a few people either don't know about or don't use it given that its completely free!

Totally agree with the above. Webmaster Tools on Google are especially useful for getting your new content indexed by Google quicker. Both Analytics and Webmaster Tools are free and really worth getting setup on. Each has there own use, but webmaster tools can now feed data on your pages into Analytics as well. As long as you have both setup.

Albeit an old thread I'll add my 2 cents.

As well as utilizing Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics I highly recommend looking at Bing Webmaster tools which can also provide useful information (just on Bing instead of Google). Bing is often neglected but in the right market can be a solid source of traffic.
