I did, and I took the day off - Armistice Day is especially important for me as I have served in the Armed Forces and I have members of my family that still do.
I must admit, I was suprised at the number of people that turned up at Stockport War Memorial on Friday. But it is still kind of a strange feeling when everything stops, especially on the main A6.
