Sheffield based online training company Sharp End Training is gearing up for their first online conference.
The "take control of your business" virtual conference brings together leaders in the freelance translation industry. The Conference will be held online from 15th & 16th February 2013.
This event is aimed at freelance translators looking to expand and build their own practices.
"We listened to what our colleagues were telling us" said conference Co-Chair Olga Arakelyan, Head of Sharp End Training Russia, the Sharp End Training division which deals with the translation industry.
"More and more translators are setting up their own practice, and our event aims to help them with the skills they need to do this, instead of them working for agencies and third party companies."continued Olga
The conference features individual sessions relevant to startup translators and features online workshops on personal branding, blogging and business networking.
The event is sponsored by the translator platform Textmaster.com who are providing all attendees with a starter pack for their service.
This conference is the first of it's kind and the organisers hope that it will grow and become an annual event. Company Chief Executive Jonathan Senior said - "No one is doing this and by having both speakers and delegates from around the world, we truly are networking globally. It is of course scary but very exciting at the same time."
To keep costs sensible, each event is individually priced so delegates can attend only the sessions of most benefit to them and their business.
The event concludes with a virtual speed networking session for all delegates on Saturday.
