Hi All,

Just wanted some comments good and bad. Its the way I was heading with my company to help with google etc.

It costs me my time but we dont advertise (unless its free). http://www.denhamconstruction.co.uk

Is this the way to go for advertising and winning new clients or not?

I would be interested in your views please.

Website looks great to me

Adding a blog that is of interest to potential customers is great way to bring people on to your site. If you write a useful article and then tweet/facebook about it then people are likely to visit your site to read it.

Hi

That's a nice looking website. It has a nice clean, professional feel.

Blogging on your website and posting regularly is good for several reasons.

Firstly Google likes to see websites that are regularly updated, they don't want to send a search customer to a website that hasn't been updated in months as it's likely out of date and the search customer will have to search again.

Secondly, blogging on a number of topics that demonstrate your knowledge in your area of business helps you to rank higher in Google search because you're building a larger library for Google to index which will contain more keywords, hence more chances that your content will be listed in search results.

There are several other good reasons to blog, but these two are certainly very important.

One point to really consider is what to blog about, a lot of people begin blogging about what they feel they want to write about rather what their customers will want to read. You need to consider how you can share your knowledge in a way that the customer will find it useful and not only want to read it but want to share it with others. A lot of business fail in blogging and stop because they don't get the focus and don't take the time to build a strategy around the type of content and information their customers and prospects will be attracted to read and share.

Hope that helps, this is an area I cover with my customers, be more than happy to answer any questions.

Regards

Rob
