The Business Circuit/Twitter/Facebook & Page/LinkedIn?Google + Blogs etc!
Do we have time to do work any more?
I have to say I have gained some work from LinkedIn and this forum looks good but is new so is it worth it, has any one gained work from these sites or others?

Social media definitely takes up a lot of time, but if used correctly It can yeild fantastic results - for free.
Obviously you should not spend so much time on it that you don't have time to do anything else, but in today's world I don't think it's really even an option not to use social media. It's kind of just expected by customers now, not seen as an extra.
I would say that any forms of free social media, forums, blogs etc are worthwhile if they are giving your business more exposure. Even if it doesn't lead to business directly, these things find their way into search engines, get circulated and generally get your name about.
Personally I’ve had some great results; particularly with twitter and business forums.

I to have had some great results from Social Media - The old saying is true regarding word of mouth marketing - It works. Yes, I agree it takes a bit of time, but if done correctly it works well.
However, it can also work against you as bad news travels faster than good news as we probably know.
One thing I would bear in mind though, if you create a facebook page, then its important to keep this updated. Simply because fresh content is king , but if anyone comes across a facebook page which has not been updated for a whilte, then they may think that you are no longer in business and move on to the next - People will very rarely think, that you just have not got the time to update because you have got to much work on.
