Does anyone use QR Codes in amy Marketing Campaigns ?

Whats a QR Code you may ask ?

A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be made up of any kind of data (e.g., binary, alphanumeric, or Kanji symbols). It is a simple square barcode

This is ideal for anyone wanting to get a user to visit a website, using a smartphone

I've seen them and have been asked to use them of a couple of client jobs. Too often though they're there for the sake of having them there and have almost been a solution in search of a problem. I just can't get as excited about them as some people seem to.

All that said, one of the best uses of them I've seen was for an estate agents. You can scan the code off the printouts in their window or on the for sale sign outside the house to link to the full brochure for the property you are interested in.

I have actually never tried to use one myself, always been a bit intrigued by the idea of them though. They seem to be the latest fashion at the moment!
