Hello everyone!
North Manchester here
It looks like you've all been on these forums for a while. How are you finding them? I'm new here so any tips or pointers would be great.

Looks like we've got quite a sizable group forming up this way.
Good to see.
Welcome aboard!
Tips?
*Communicate, just get in and post a reply where you feel necessary.
*Provide leads, if you have a contact you think may be suitable for someone, pass their name on.
Look forward to more of your posts.

That's great, Jo, thank you!
Does anyone know of any events in Manchester for new start-ups? Courses, networking events, etc?

Hi Jo
Thanks for the quick response.
What I Do:
In a nutshell, I help businesses to get the best out of their people. For instance, I work with staff to help them:
- recognise and value their skills (this can be great prep. for appraisals)
- map out how they could develop within the organisation - increasing morale and motivation
- identify skills gaps and develop a strategy with the individual and their employer for addressing them
I also offer redundancy support services to businesses:
- helping affected staff to manage the transition
- confidence building
- exploring career options
- providing lots of practical advice, e.g. where to find vacancies & how to apply for them (inc. feedback on CVs, etc)
Networking
As a fairly new start up, I'm looking at events where I can get my name out there and introduce what I do. I'm already in the process of contacting the Chamber of Commerce to find out if there's anything they could tell me about.
In terms of budget - I'd be willing to consider most options, but I do need to keep a close eye on finances given it's still early days.
I'm based in North Manchester (Bury), but can travel the whole of Greater Manchester.
If you can think of anything that might suitable, that would be great.
All the best,
Thanks for the quick response.

Just joined. I'm based in Darwen (BB3) and offer a mail delivery service. Initially BB postcodes but just expanding into BL. At this rate, I'll be canvassing the Manchester businesses soon.
