Yes I saw it earlier. It does state that some stores will close but the others will remain open for 18 months. I hope they do survive.
I expect they are suffering with prices with the internet. I recently purchased a washing machine and then found it £120 cheaper online.

Especially as it was only £620 in the first place. I always shop around now to try and get the best price.

High street consumer electronics retailers are being hit particularly hard at the moment. The overheads of maintaining large stores makes it near on impossible to compete with internet retailers. I think we may well see other large retailers being hit as well in the not so distant future...

High street consumer electronics retailers are being hit particularly hard at the moment. The overheads of maintaining large stores makes it near on impossible to compete with internet retailers. I think we may well see other large retailers being hit as well in the not so distant future...
I agree with you, but in the end it is about us wanting the best price for the best product. I do not want to see the retailers having to close, but I also do not want to spend extra money.
