I've tried facebook advertising before, but to be honest was disappointed with the results.
In hindsight though i don't think facebook was right for what we were advertising (a service aimed at a business market). I'd be interested to know what everyone else who has tried it thinks?

I actually have used Facebook advertising and I find it relatively inexpensive and effective for what I wanted to do, which was to get likes for a page/post. I did some research and went into it with a different perspective than I did before; there's a lot to it but you have to play around with it and not expect it to do miracles. I've used it many times and it can be an extremely effective way of achieving your advertising goals. It can take a bit of getting used to on the back end but once you get the hang of it you can create some cracking campaigns. It's just a case of making the most of the images and ad copy you use as well as the bidding and demographic targeting.

I’m doing it currently and seeing some good results. I have been doing it in Facebook, Google plus, twitter and the best feature is the Facebook fan page.
